Kaiserwetter’s application for the international portfolio management of renewable energy assets was named one of the six finalists of Climate Action’s global Innovative Climate Finance Tool Competition. The winner will be announced at this week’s Sustainable Investment Forum in New York City. “We’re very proud of this ranking, particularly since reaching the final confirms that with ARISTOTELES, we have developed a tool that will help reach the shared goals of the Paris Climate Agreement on an economical basis,” says Kaiserwetter CEO Hanno Schoklitsch. Climate Action works in a unique contractual partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The British organization establishes and builds partnerships between businesses, governments and organizations to accelerate international sustainable development and advance the green economy. “The fact that ARISTOTELES is being honored again shows that non-governmental organizations and the renewable energy sector are recognizing the important role digitalization will have for economic success in the future,” Schoklitsch emphasizes. “We will only be able to generate the necessary investments in renewable energy assets if they can be shown to be good business that maximizes returns and minimizes risks on a global scale. With ARISTOTELES we have developed a platform that provides this security for investors.” Being named a finalist of the Climate Finance Tool Competition is the fourth honor Kaiserwetter and ARISTOTELES have received this year. The Hamburg company was also voted Best Renewable Asset Manager Germany 2017 and Best Energy Company, with ARISTOTELES named one of the Top 100 Ideas of the Year.
