DATAGROUP Becomes Strategic IT Partner of Messe München

Pliezhausen, May 23, 2019. DATAGROUP has won the First Generation Outsourcing tender of Messe München GmbH (Munich Trade Fair) over a term of five years until 2024. The contract has a volume in the lower double-digit million euro range.

DATAGROUP will handle the predominant part of Messe München's operations of IT services on the basis of the CORBOX, the DATAGROUP service portfolio. The range of services covers the delivery and operations of the entire server infrastructure, the application management of the sophisticated IT environment and the complete end user service. Altogether, some 1,000 IT workplaces will be supported.

The teams of DATAGROUP and Messe München have already started the transition, which is expected to be concluded by the end of calendar year 2019. Thereafter DATAGROUP will support Messe München as a strategic IT provider.

Cyber security, digitization, Industry 4.0 - these trends are changing the working world and quickly set new standards. "Messe München is undergoing changes and this primarily requires an IT that is continually optimized to support this development. We are on the verge of another significant step: Services which are scalable and can be standardized will be handed over to DAGAGROUP, our new strategic IT provider, to build the IT of tomorrow", said CIO and Head of IT Christian Grodau.

"We are very pleased that we were able to convince Messe München of our CORBOX services during the tender procedure. After all, our CORBOX, which provides services from Germany, is decisive for the success of a first generation outsourcing in our view. We strongly believe that, together with Messe Müchen, we can support the planned change with our standardized CORBOX services. We look forward to a successful and long-standing cooperation as a partner at eye level with a focus on Mittelstand companies", said Marc Hirtreiter, Head of Business Unit of DATAGROUP Business Solutions GmbH.

Aves One AG: Kursziel 13,60 €
