BOB MOBILE AG: First Quarter 2009; Investments in further growth. Result being positive, despite pressure due to the general economic situation as well as invests in increasing the customer base.

The issuer / publisher is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob Mobile AG, Düsseldorf (WKN A0HHJR, ISIN DE000A0HHJR3) has further extended its market position in the first quarter of 2009. The media expenditures in its core markets Germany and Greece have been increased, investing in further growth. Altogether, the Bob Mobile Group generated a turnover of Euro 2.8 million in the first quarter 2009. The turnover was below the turnover of the seasonally stronger fourth quarter. Versus the first quarter 2008 (Euro 2.6 million) however there was an increase of 7.7 %. The EBIT was low at Euro 40 thousand (EBIT Q1 2008: Euro 130 thousand). The low EBIT resulted from an increase of the media expenditures for further customer acquisition (after a previous reduction of the media expenditures in the fourth quarter 2008) as well as from continuously low media efficiencies due to the pressure of the general economic situation and because of seasonality. In the first quarter the Greek subsidiary Bob Mobile Hellas SA showed strong growth based on moving the sales channel from TV more towards the internet. The business of Bob Mobile Deutschland GmbH in Germany, Austria and Switzerland showed moderate growth due to dependency of the TV-sales channel in combination with media efficiencies being under pressure. The subsidiary Pink Adventure AG showed healthy growth, based on partnerships and optimization of the running business. Strong growth was shown by the 50.2 % participation Guerilla Mobile Berlin GmbH that concentrates on sales via the internet. In all markets media efficiencies are under plan due to further caution of the customers caused by the economic situation as well as due to missing bestsellers in the product portfolio. Despite the low results and the continuous pressure on the media efficiencies, Bob Mobile succeeded in the first quarter in strengthening its market position and its bases for future earnings. A reliable estimate on turnover as well as earnings is more difficult due to the economic situation than in previous years.
