BDI subsidiary UIC GmbH reopens state-of-the-art research center (news with additional features)
DGAP-News: BDI – BioEnergy International AG / Key word(s): Miscellaneous Press Release BDI subsidiary UIC GmbH reopens state-of-the-art research center (Grambach / Alzenau, February 29, 2016): UIC GmbH has reopened its expanded and modernized research centre in Alzenau on February 25, 2016. In the course of the successful transformation process of UIC GmbH from a component to a system provider in the chemical plant construction therefore a further milestone was reached. The investment volume for the project amounted to about one million euros. Already in 2014, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of UIC, the headquarter of the company was expanded by a new office building and larger manufacturing and assembly units. Last year the company then especially invested into the expansion and modernization of the research facilities. The now larger capacities and the more innovative experimental facilities offer the company in the future new possibilities with regard to distillation experiments. The focus of the research at the centre will lie on the development of new processes and special equipment for the short path distillation range. “The new trend-setting research center immediately offers the opportunity to carry out customized tests for our customers with laboratory and pilot plants – with twice the capacity and numerous new advanced options. Thus, in the future we can support the customer processes even better, starting from laboratory testing to industrial plants”, says Mag. Andreas Ehart, Member of the Management Board of BDI – BioEnergy International AG.
