Diepholz/Bremen - 16. August 2017: The supply and demand for live and on-demand audio and video streams on websites and social media are growing strongly and user numbers of platforms such as Facebook Live are rising fast. At the same time, however, broadcasts of illegal contents and even crimes are also on the increase. As a result, live streams have to be recorded for evidence and analysis purposes, which can be quite a challenge, especially when no URL is shown.

artec technologies AG (WKN 520958), a specialist for the recording and analysis of real-time information from diverse sources such as TV, radio, video and the Internet, has accepted the technical challenge and added the recording of live streams to its wide range of cloud services for the recording and analysis of TV stations and social media. artec's new offering is primarily targeted at state media authorities, operators of web TV and web radio stations as well as competitors from the classic media sector. As with all of artec's cloud services, customers benefit from the user-friendly user interface as well as low investment and operating costs also in the documentation and analysis of live streams.

Operated on an SaaS (Software as a Service) basis, artec's cloud platform comprises European TV and radio stations as well as web TV and radio. Apart from documentation and analysis, analytical feedbacks from social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter can also be integrated. artec's services combine technologies which on one hand help finding content using keywords. On the other hand the platform can be used for applications such as competitor monitoring, content matching and the analysis of audience ratings and more. This opens up diverse potential uses for public control bodies, rights owners, media authorities and advertising agencies.
