Cap Portfolio, New York, NY, USA, has advised that the number of voting
rights held by it in Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc., Plymouth, US, exceeded
the 3% threshold on July 10, 2012, and on that day amounted to 3.01% (which
corresponds to 978767 voting rights).

On October 11, 2012, pursuant to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG
(Securities Trading Act), Third Avenue Management LLC, New York, NY, USA,
has advised that the number of voting rights held by it in Rofin-Sinar
Technologies Inc., Plymouth, US, exceeded the 5% threshold on July 24,
2012, and on that day amounted to 5.05% (which corresponds to 1640784
voting rights). Voting rights of the following shareholders holding 3% each
or more in ROFIN-SINAR Technologies Inc. are to be attributed to Third
Avenue Management LLC: Met Investors Series Trust - Third Avenue Small Cap
Portfolio.
