On April 12, 2012, pursuant to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG
(Securities Trading Act), Royce & Associates, LLC, New York, NY, has
advised that the number of shares it held in Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc.,
Plymouth, US, fell below the 10% limit of the Voting Rights on April 12,
2012, and on that day amounted to 9.98% (which corresponds to 3,240,843
Voting Rights). All voting right are to be attributed to Royce &
Associates, LLC according to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1 No. 6, of
the WpHG (Securities Trading Act). Voting rights of the following
shareholders holding 3% each or more in ROFIN-SINAR Technologies Inc. are
to be attributed to Royce & Associates, LLC: The Royce Fund.

On April 12, 2012, pursuant to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG
(Securities Trading Act), Legg Mason, Inc., Baltimore, Maryland, has
advised that the number of shares it held in Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc.,
Plymouth, US, fell below the 10% limit of the Voting Rights on April 12,
2012, and on that day amounted to 9.98% (which corresponds to 3,240,843
Voting Rights). All voting right are to be attributed to Legg Mason, Inc.
according to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1 No. 6 in connection with
Sentence 2 of the WpHG (Securities Trading Act). Voting rights of the
following shareholders holding 3% each or more in ROFIN-SINAR Technologies
Inc. are to be attributed to Legg Mason, Inc.: The Royce Fund.
