Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG 

UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us on 20 September 2012 pursuant to
section 25 WpHG and section 25a WpHG of the following:

1) UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25 WpHG of
the following:

On 14 September 2012, UBS AG exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d.
Saale, Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 5.15% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 7,125,009 voting rights).

From these voting rights a proportion of 0.36% (equals 498,779 voting
rights) is based on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG and a
proportion of 4.79% (equals 6,626,230 voting rights) is based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly. The exercise period of
the instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG is at any time with the
expiration date 21 September 2012.

2) UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25a WpHG of
the following:

On 14 September 2012, UBS AG exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d.
Saale, Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 5.16% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 7,126,067 voting rights).

From these voting rights a proportion of 0.001% (equals 1,058 voting
rights) is based on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a
WpHG. From these voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25a
WpHG a proportion of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

In addition, a proportion of 4.79% (equals 6,626,230 voting rights) is
based on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From
these voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a
proportion of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

In addition, a proportion of 0.36% (equals 498,779 voting rights) is based
on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG.

The (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG are
described as follows:
- 'Equity Swaps' (expiration date 4 February 2015).

3) UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25 WpHG of
the following:

On 17 September 2012, UBS AG fell below the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d.
Saale, Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 4.25% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 5,874,635 voting rights).

From these voting rights a proportion of 0.33% (equals 457,330 voting
rights) is based on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG and a
proportion of 3.92% (equals 5,417,305 voting rights) is based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly. The exercise period of
the instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG is at any time with the
expiration date 21 September 2012.

4) UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25a WpHG of
the following:

On 17 September 2012, UBS AG fell below the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d.
Saale, Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 4.25% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 5,875,693 voting rights).

From these voting rights a proportion of 0.001% (equals 1,058 voting
rights) is based on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a
WpHG. From these voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25a
WpHG a proportion of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

In addition, a proportion of 3.92% (equals 5,417,305 voting rights) is
based on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From
these voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a
proportion of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

In addition, a proportion of 0.33% (equals 457,330 voting rights) is based
on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG.
