Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG 

UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25 WpHG and
pursuant to section 25a WpHG of the following:

(1) UBS AG notified us pursuant to section 25 WpHG of the following:

On 10 August 2012, UBS AG fell below the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d.
Saale, Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 4.90% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 6,775,230 voting rights).

From these voting rights a proportion of 2.91% (equals 4,015,830 voting
rights) is based on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG and a
proportion of 2.00% (equals 2,759,400 voting rights) is based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly. The exercise period of
the instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG is at any time.

(2) UBS AG notified us pursuant to section 25a WpHG of the following:

On 10 August 2012, UBS AG fell below the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d.
Saale, Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 4.91% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 6,792,385 voting rights).

On that date, the composition of the voting rights held by UBS AG was as
follows:

A proportion of 2.91% (equals 4,015,830 voting rights) was based on voting
rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG.

A proportion of 2.00% (equals 2,759,400 voting rights) was based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

A proportion of 0.01% (equals 17,155 voting rights) was based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly. The (financial/other)
instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG are described as
Equity Swaps with expiration date 4 February 2015.
