Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG 

UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us on 5 July 2012 pursuant to section
25a WpHG of the following:

On 2 July 2012, UBS AG exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights of
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale,
Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 6.21% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 8,590,701 voting rights).

From these voting rights a proportion of 0.03% (equals 42,919 voting
rights) is based on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a
WpHG. From these voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25a
WpHG a proportion of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

In addition, a proportion of 0.10% (equals 138,000 voting rights) is based
on (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From these
voting rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion
of 0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) is held indirectly.

In addition, a proportion of 6.08% (equals 8,409,782 voting rights) is
based on voting rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG.

The (financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG are
described as follows:
