Die Goldman Sachs Group, Inc mit Sitz in New York, USA, hat uns mit
Schreiben vom 09. Mai 2012 folgendes mitgeteilt:

The Goldman Sachs Group, New York, USA, gives notice pursuant to section 21
(1) WpHG of the following:

On 30. April 2012 the voting rights held by The Goldman Sachs Group
exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights in MTU Aero Engines
Holding AG, Dachauer Street 665, 80995 Munich, Germany. On that date, The
Goldman Sachs Group held 5.11% (equals 2,657,279) of the voting rights in
MTU Aero Engines Holding AG.

The voting rights in MTU Aero Engines Holding AG were attributed as
follows:

- 1.25% (equals 649,078 voting rights) pursuant to sec. 25a WpHG, 
thereof held indirectly 1.25% (equals 649,078 voting rights);
- 3.52% (equals 1,831,322 voting rights) pursuant to sec. 25 WpHG, 
thereof held indirectly 3.52% (equals 1,831,322 voting rights); and
- 0.34% (equals 176,879 voting rights) pursuant to sec. 21, 22  WpHG.
