On June 21, 2012, Hermes Administration Services Limited, as the authorised
administration agent on behalf of BT Pension Scheme Trustees Limited,
London, England has notified us pursuant to section 21 para. 1 WpHG about
the following notifications regarding the holding of voting rights held in
KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG, Cologne, Germany (the 'Company'):

1. On 15 June 2012 the voting rights of BT Pension Scheme Trustees Limited,
Lloyds Chambers, London, England ('BTPST') in the Company exceeded the
threshold of 3% pursuant to Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 4.25% of
the voting rights (2,111,748 shares with voting rights), at this day.
* 2.36% of the voting rights (1,171,748 shares with voting rights) in the
Company are attributable to BTPST pursuant to Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 2
WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG and Sec. 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG, and
* 1.89% of the voting rights (940,000 shares with voting rights) in the
Company are attributable to BTPST pursuant to Sec. 22 para. 2 WpHG.

2. On 15 June 2012 the voting rights of Britel Fund Nominees Limited,
Lloyds Chambers, London, England ('BFN') in the Company exceeded the
threshold of 3% pursuant to Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 4.25% of
the voting rights (2,111,748 shares with voting rights), at this day.
* 2.36% of the voting rights (1,171,748 shares with voting rights) in the
Company are attributable to BFN pursuant to Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 2
WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG and Sec. 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG, and
* 1.89% of the voting rights (940,000 shares with voting rights) in the
Company are attributable to BFN pursuant to Sec. 22 para. 2 WpHG.

Lloyds Chambers, London, England ('HFM') in the Company exceeded the
threshold of 3% pursuant to Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 4.25% of
the voting rights (2,111,748 shares with voting rights), at this day.
* 2.36% of the voting rights (1,171,748 shares with voting rights) in the
Company are attributable to HFM pursuant to Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 2
WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG and Sec. 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG, and
* 1.89% of the voting rights (940,000 shares with voting rights) in the
Company are attributable to HFM pursuant to Sec. 22 para. 2 WpHG.

Limited, Lloyds Chambers, London, England ('HFAM') in the Company exceeded
the threshold of 3% pursuant to Sec. 21 para. 1 WpHG and amounted to 4.25%
of the voting rights (2,111,748 shares with voting rights), at this day.
* 2.36% of the voting rights (1,171,748 shares with voting rights) in the
Company are attributable to HFAM pursuant to Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 2
WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG and Sec. 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with Sec. 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG, and
