On October 16, 2012, BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., Wilmington, DE, USA has
informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares
its Voting Rights on Infineon Technologies AG, Neubiberg, Deutschland, have
exceeded the 5% threshold of the Voting Rights on July 22, 2011 and on that
day amounted to 5.003% (this corresponds to 54366338 Voting Rights).
According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection with
sentence 2 of the WpHG, 5.003% of the Voting Rights (this corresponds to
54366338 Voting Rights) is to be attributed to the company.
