On August 31, 2010 BlackRock, Inc., New York, USA informed us that pursuant
to Section 21 Paragraph 1 WpHG the percentage holding of the voting rights
of BlackRock, Inc., New York, USA in Allianz SE, Munich, Germany have
fallen below the threshold of 5% on August 25, 2010 and amounts to 3.87%
(17,562,921 voting shares) on that day.

All of the voting rights are attributable to BlackRock, Inc. pursuant to
Section 22 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 N 6 in connection with sent. 2 WpHG.
