EASY SOFTWARE (ISIN DE0005634000): First quarter went according to plan

Business development  
According to targets, sales figures were in excess of those for the
comparable period of the previous year. In the first quarter of 2012, the
EASY Group's course of business in the various sectors went largely
according to plan. Falling slightly below the targets, software license
sales could be almost completely offset by increased software maintenance
sales.

Sales order situation 
Amounting to about EUR 2.6 million, the current backlog of orders exceeds
that of the previous year (EUR 2.2 million). This provides a sound basis
for further development during the next couple of months in 2012. Amounting
to about EUR 1.5 million, current orders are end-user projects from Direct
Sales, the handling of which implies maximum capacity of our Consulting
departments for the next couple of months. About EUR 1.1 million of the
backlog of orders goes into partner business, which will produce short-term
inflows of funds.

Financial situation 
By the end of the first quarter of 2012, EASY SOFTWARE AG has liquid assets
amounting to EUR 10.4 million (about 15.4 million within the Group), which
are essentially attributable to the high operating cashflow due to revenues
from software maintenance contracts. This is offset by a bank loan
amounting to EUR 2.0 million. The financial situation of the EASY Group is
therefore extremely stable; the Group's companies are capable of
self-financing out of their own resources over a longer period of time.

Employees
The number of employees remained stable as compared to year's end 2011. New
recruitments in the Consulting department allowed EASY to succeed in
further expanding and strengthening this important sector.

Sales and marketing 
Coming in a new design, with innovative products and an attractive booth
concept, EASY SOFTWARE presented itself again at CeBIT 2012, the world's
most successful IT tradeshow, from March 06 through 10, 2012.

Again, our quick-to-implement process solutions, such as the Personnel
file, contract management and invoice processing, met with the most
positive response. EASY DOCUMENTS 4.0, the all-in-one solution that serves
the needs of small and midsize businesses, was showcased to an eager
professional audience after its market launch at CeBIT 2011.

According to an independent study published in March 2012, EASY SOFTWARE AG
is, at 17.9%, clearly the leading DMS/ECM provider considering the number
of installed systems in the German market.

Outlook 
The Management Board is confident about further positive course of
business. Given a stable assets and financial situation, the Management
Board assumes further increase in sales and a significant improvement in
earnings as compared to the previous year.
