- Albrecht Kiel named Chief Operating Officer (COO) at vwd -

Frankfurt am Main, June 11, 2012 - The Supervisory Board of vwd Vereinigte Wirtschaftsdienste AG (vwd AG) has appointed Mr. Albrecht Kiel to the company's Management Board, effective September 1, 2012. As COO, Mr. Kiel will oversee vwd group's sales business and strategic development. This appointment of a new Management Board member aims to strengthen sales within vwd group. Mr. Kiel has excellent connections to the financial and insurance industry and will grow vwd group's existing sales markets in Germany and abroad. In addition, the new Management Board member will facilitate the dynamic growth of vwd group's financial-market solutions for banks, savings banks, portfolio managers, and companies. Starting September 1, 2012, the Management Board of vwd AG will thus once again comprise three members.

Mr. Kiel brings recognized expertise in marketing and direct sales to vwd AG. Following completion of his MBA studies in Germany and the United States, he held various management positions in marketing and sales in the media industry. Since 1998, Mr. Kiel has held various management positions in the financial and insurance sector. Mr. Kiel will join vwd from Allianz SE where he currently heads Allianz Direkt and oversees the development and expansion of Direkt's international business.
