Sberbank of Russia Presents 'Business Environment' Project at Its Stand

21 June 2012, St. Petersburg - Sberbank of Russia has presented an operating prototype of its Internet portal for small business 'Business Environment' at its stand at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The portal will become a key element for the bank to deliver on its strategy to promote small business in Russia. The primary objective of the 'Business Environment' project is to become a convenient and accessible platform to do business in Russia.

The portal currently features the functionality of a social network of entrepreneurs (the 'Club' section), which enables small businesses to not only communicate, but also negotiate and make transactions. The School of an Entrepreneur (the 'School' section) is an essential component of 'Business Environment,' which already features the basic set of training courses, programs and tests offering business knowledge to operating businesses and people who consider opening their own business.

The 'Shop' section brings together the best software products and services in the Russian market facilitating everyday business routines, including accounting, sales statistics and reporting. The 'Bank' section offers portal users access to a full-service Internet bank. Each 'Business Environment' customer will have a personal manager to provide support and advice.

'The 'Business Environment' project is making its first steps, and we hope that entrepreneurs themselves will add new solutions and services,' said Sergey Borisov, Sberbank Vice-President for Small Business Development. 'We believe that 'Business Environment' customers themselves will contribute to its development, as it will be a continuous crowdsourcing project.'

'Entrepreneurship is an excellent activity that lends a human being the possibility to satisfy all his needs, including the self-actualization need,' said Andrei Leushev, General Director of ZAO Business Environment. We are going to use the portal to promote entrepreneurship at all levels of the population.'
