RIB Software AG: Strategic investments planned for the 2nd half of the year

Technology company in advanced negotiations with software manufacturers around the globe

STUTTGART, 5 July 2012. RIB Software AG plans to make strategic investments in software companies in the EMEA, APAC and North America regions in the second half of the year. The technology company, which claims to be the market leader in BIM 5D software solutions for the global construction sector, aims to make up to three acquisitions with an investment volume of EUR 10 and 20 million in total.

RIB CEO Thomas Wolf: 'We are currently in negotiations with software providers from Australia, China, the United States and various European countries who are established in the field of cloud, collaboration and content technology within these markets. According to their own estimations, in the current financial year these companies will each generate between one and five million euros with around 20,000 users. The strategic aim is to expand our global customer base into the markets important for the RIB Group, such as North America and Australia.'

RIB Software AG sees strategic investments in companies operating in the construction software sector, which is heavily fragmented worldwide, as a promising door-opener - especially into regional markets. With these investments the company intends to significantly expand its international customer base, thus resolutely pursuing the growth targets already published at the time of its IPO.
