Primary placement auctions of Latvian Government debt securities

Riga, Latvia, 2012-05-15 11:58 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In order to place
additional Latvian Government Treasury long term debt securities competitive
multi-price auction will be run on NASDAQ OMX Riga on May 23, 2012. 

Non-competitive fixed rate auctions will be run on NASDAQ OMX Riga on May 24,
2012; the fixed rate set by State Treasury will be published on NASDAQ OMX Riga
webpage after the competitive auctions.

Latvian Government debt securities auctions under The Treasury of the Republic
of Latvia are organized by NASDAQ OMX Riga. Settlement is provided by Latvian
Central Depository. From 2005 by the end of 2011 the total volume of Latvian
Government debt securities sold at NASDAQ OMX Riga auctions amounted EUR 4.0
billion.
