Kropfmühl, Germany, 16 June 2010 --- The Annual General Meeting of Graphit
Kropfmühl AG (DEUTSCHE BOERSE: 'GKR') was held in Munich today. About 70
shareholders and guests followed the invitation and attended the Annual
General Meeting in the Munich Conference Centre of the Hanns Seidel
foundation.

In its presentation of the annual financial statements the management board
reported about a difficult fiscal year 2009: 'With a drop in sales of
almost euro 6.0 million to euro 84.6 million, the global financial and
economic crisis clearly left its marks in the Graphit Kropfmühl group,'
explained managing director Martin Ebeling. The management board was not
satisfied with the development of the earnings position in 2009, even
though the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2009 already showed tendencies of a
recovering demand.

The positive development continued in the 1st quarter of 2010, and compared
to the 1st quarter of 2009 the management board was pleased to report a
turnover increase of 19.6 % to euro 21.6 million. With euro 1.3 million,
earnings (EBITDA) in the 1st quarter of 2010 almost doubled compared to the
previous year. This development is confirmed in the current quarter. Based
on 5-months figures and on the existing orders on hand the company expects
a turnover of about euro 46 million for the 1st half year of 2010, so that
the managing director for the full year 2010 confirmed the turnover
forecast figure between euro 88 and 90 million - provided that the general
economic development remains stable.

The Annual General Meeting approved the items on the agenda that were put
to the vote with majorities of more than 99 %. Among others, the Annual
General Meeting resolved to fully carry forward the balance sheet profit of
fiscal year 2009 of approx. euro 4.3 million to new account.  The
resolutions concerning changes of the articles of association, which mainly
were necessary due to changes in legislation, and concerning the system of
management board member compensation, were adopted with great majority.
