The issuer / publisher is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Change of Board Members at Tantalus Rare Earths AG, Appointment of Andre Klupsch (Düsseldorf, 2009/05/18) Tantalus Rare Earths AG, with its 300km² Rare Earth project in Northern Madagascar, announces today a change of board members effective on May 15th, 2010. Peter Küsters is resigning on said date and simultaneously the supervisory board is appointing Andre Klupsch, lawyer, to the board. Mr. Küsters advanced the set up of the company and coordinated the stock exchange listing in January of this year as well as the preceding corporate actions. Mr. Küsters recently informed the supervisory board and his fellow board members of his plans to resign and is now preparing a seamless transition to his successor. The company wishes to thank Mr. Peter Küsters for the successful collaboration and wants to wish him well for his professional future. Furthermore, the company announces today that the supervisory board unanimously appointed Mr. Andre Klupsch, lawyer, to the board of Tantalus Rare Earths AG. Mr. Klupsch completed his studies of law, with an emphasis on business law, at the university in Osnabrück. During his legal traineeship he was working for one of the leading Australian law firms, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, in Perth, where he could establish an initial connection to the mining business. In addition to it, Mr. Klupsch is a supervisory board member of various medium-sized companies and served as a legal advisor for a stock exchange listed, medium-sized company in the past. As of now, Mr. Klupsch as an additional board member (CAO, Chief Administrative Officer), together with the CEO, Mr. Stephen Forman, appointed in April, and the COO Wolfgang Hampel, will conduct the company's business.
