Plaut to announce significant increases in the first quarter of 2012

Vienna, 30 April 2012. Plaut Aktiengesellschaft, which is listed on the
General Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (PUT2; ISIN:
AT0000A02Z18; securities identification number: A0LCDP), announces its
figures for the 1st quarter of 2012.

Financial figures of Plaut Group for the 1st quarter of 2012:

  -  Sales:   EUR 5.7 million (prior year: EUR 5.3 million)

  -  EBIT:    EUR 250 thousand (prior year: EUR 203 thousand)

  -  EBT:     EUR 202 thousand (prior year: EUR 115 thousand) 

With increasing sales and significantly increased EBIT and EBT, Plaut
continues its growth trend of the past year. Plaut Group increased sales by
approx. 7% from EUR 5.3 million in the first quarter of 2011 to EUR 5.7
million in the first quarter of 2012. EBIT increased by 23% from EUR 203
thousand in the first quarter of 2011 to EUR 250 thousand for the same
period in 2012. EBT for first quarter of 2012 amounted to EUR 202 thousand
representing an increase of more than 75% compared to prior year.

Successful within msg group and in CEE/CIS
With a stake of 50.93% msg systems ag is the major shareholder of Plaut
Aktiengesellschaft. The cooperation in the msg group creates access to new
markets and opens new possibilities to market the Plaut portfolio. As such,
projects were acquired which Plaut as a stand-alone would not have won.

In the first quarter, the performance in the CEE/CIS region was especially
positive.  With our own development center in Romania, nearshore
developments are integrated into projects. With this, important contracts
were won. The country organization in Russia is performing exceptionally
well.

Industry focus and increase in headcount
Plaut believes that the further expansion of its activities in the
industries of insurance, utilities, food/beverage and services provides the
basis for sustained success. To satisfy increased demand for consulting
services, Plaut intends to increase its staff by 50 new consultants in
2012.
