Investment in iQ Power by Board Member

Zug/Switzerland, 27 July 2012 - iQ Power AG (ISIN: CH0020609688, WKN:
A0DQVL, Symbol: IQPB) announces that Won-lak Choi will make an investment
of EURO 728,356.60 in iQ Power AG. Won-Lak Choi is a member of the Board of
Directors of iQ Power AG and Chairman of KG Power Inc., Joint Venture
Partner in iQ Power Asia Inc.

If the Board of Directors of iQ Power AG agree to the investment proposal,
shares of iQ Power AG will be issued for Euro 0.01275/share, which will
require an extraordinary shareholders' meeting. Further details will be
made available at a later date. Until the shares are issued, the funds will
be available to iQ Power AG as a bridge loan to be used for working capital
and debt reduction.

IQ Power AG sees this long-term oriented investment from a Board Member as
a sign of confidence in the future prospects of iQ Power AG as well as iQ
Power Asia Inc..
