Funkwerk adds to Executive Board - Reorientation advanced

Kölleda, April 20, 2012 - The Supervisory Board of Funkwerk AG (WKN 575
314) has appointed Mr. Dr Christian Baur (42) to the group's Executive
Board with effect from April 20, 2012. Restructuring expert Dr Baur,
Managing Director of consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal Germany, will
temporarily reinforce the Executive Board as Chief Restructuring Officer
(CRO) to help consistently implement the group's reorientation. With more
than 16 years of management and consulting experience, Mr. Dr Christian E.
Baur has been involved in a number of successful restructurings, including
the turnaround of a listed supplier of plant and system technology.

In 2011 Funkwerk AG initiated a broad strategic reorientation and has since
completed important milestones. Now focused on its core business, the group
has sold several business units and secured its financing. Enlarging the
Executive Board aims to ensure consistent progress in the restructuring
process throughout 2012. Focus will be given to the establishment of a
basis for effective, profitable growth in the defined national and
international sales markets.
