STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 11 April 2012 at 17.55 EEST 

Fortum's Board of Directors has elected, from among its members, to the
Nomination and Remuneration Committee Sari Baldauf as Chairman and Ilona
Ervasti-Vaintola and Minoo Akhtarzand as members. 

Furthermore, the Board elected to the Audit and Risk Committee Kim Ignatius as
Chairman and Christian Ramm-Schmidt, Joshua Larson and Heinz-Werner Binzel as
members.
