Preliminary investigation by public prosecution - Company rejects
suspicions

Dreieich, May 8, 2012 -  The Frankfurt public prosecutor today initiated a
preliminary investigation at Biotest AG, Dreieich. This is based on an
anonymous allegation against several persons which accuses also employees
of Biotest AG of business embezzlement and bribery in Russia. The
investigation is directed against operationally active employees of Biotest
AG, the CFO, and other persons not related to Biotest. Biotest AG rejects
the suspicions, and will actively assist during the investigation.
