Adphos AG files application for opening of insolvency proceedings


Munich, 09. April 2009 - Advanced Photonics Technologies AG, Bruckmühl, has
applied to the court having jurisdiction, the Local Court in Rosenheim, for
the opening of an insolvency proceeding. The Local Court - Rosenheim will
now appoint a preliminary insolvency administrator.

The management board of Adphos AG is making efforts to continue to operate
material parts of the company in coordination with the preliminary
insolvency administrator. This also applies for the subsidiary Adphos Steel
GmbH, which is engaged in the strip metal coating sector. This company also
filed an application for insolvency today.
