SupplyOn expands aerospace SCM solution AirSupply: Reduced production costs through web-based processing of concessions
SupplyOn expands aerospace SCM solution AirSupply: Hallbergmoos, June 2, 2014 – SupplyOn, the supply chain collaboration platform for global manufacturing companies, has extended its aerospace SCM solution AirSupply to now handle the concession process. The extension supports the approval of purchased parts that deviate from the specification but are nevertheless fully functional and of a high quality. Since disposing of deviating components can thus often be avoided, production costs are reduced. The new function is used in particular for expensive components that do not exactly match the specification. In these cases, approval for the deviation can be requested, processed and issued via SupplyOn in a structured, collaborative process. The necessary process steps are handled via SupplyOn AirSupply in a way that is transparent and traceable for both sides. Automatic notifications ensure that all the steps, both at the buying company and with the supplier, are tracked and processed promptly.
SupplyOn takes up where internal ERP systems leave off, and extends internal business processes seamlessly beyond company borders.
