Masterflex SE shows its commitment 25 years on

Gelsenkirchen, 26 October 2012 - A quarter of a century ago Masterflex Kunststofftechnik GmbH, the nucleus of what is now the globally trading Masterflex group, was established in Herten, a town in the Ruhr region. Today Masterflex SE is celebrating its Silver Jubilee at its headquarters together with numerous guests predominantly from the world of commerce, as well as from the town itself and the media.

Friedrich Wilhelm Bischoping, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and one of the co-founders in 1987 confirmed: 'We are proud of what we have become, considering our humble beginnings. To be precise: a vibrant, listed group represented in 12 locations around the world, with a product range boasting a myriad of diverse links and a highly motivated team behind these products and services'.

The lord mayor of Gelsenkirchen, Frank Baranowski, pointed in particular to the loyalty shown to Gelsenkirchen, where the company has had its main site since 1994: 'I am delighted that Masterflex is remaining loyal by keeping its headquarters here and continuing to invest in the region. The fact that internationalisation has not come at the expense of manufacturing in Germany is good for our town and, I believe, also good for Masterflex'.

Thomas Oexmann, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) in North Westphalia, presented the IHK certificate of honour to Chairman Dr. Andreas Bastin to mark the 25^th anniversary and praised the commitment of the company's management team to the so called Industry-Acceptance-Campaign organised for industrial companies in the region. 'Our common aim is to make clear to the public in general the importance of industry as an employer, trainer, innovator, tax payer, environmentalist, neighbour and, not least, as a sponsor. Masterflex is a shining example of what modern industry is all about' stated Oexmann.

Chairman Dr. Andreas Bastin concluded proceedings by discussing future prospects: 'We are currently continuing to develop our company's external image as well as our internal structures to give us greater visibility at global level. The image we project in future will be a clear statement of intent on our part - for our products to become the market and technology leaders, holistic in standards and concept, customised to meet every practical use and creating value for our customers, our staff, as well as our shareholders.'

In order to mark its anniversary, Masterflex SE is asking for donations to the Gelsenkirchener Tafel e.V. children's foundation.
