Publicly listed Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG, the first multi-channel provider for mail communications and accredited De-Mail provider, has presented its De-Mail Award for Innovation at CeBIT. The winner of the 2014 award is brain-SCC GmbH. An independent jury chose the Merseburg-based company from among all the entries received. The jury in Hanover consisted of Undersecretary Achim Hildebrandt from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Christian Schlesiger from the weekly business magazine WirtschaftsWoche and Dr Ulrich Stumpf from the Scientific Institute for Infrastructure and Communication Services. brain-SCC trumped rivals with its presentation of a De-Mail app and De-Mail-based identity management. The prize was presented by Hans Szymanski, the CEO & CFO of Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG. “The De-Mail Innovation Award encourages motivated companies to simplify business communication processes and present them in an intelligent manner”, Szymanski said. “The jury was extremely impressed by brain-SCC’s solution, which shows De-Mail pioneers like us that the new digital communication standard can be employed both cleverly and profitably.” brain-SCC Managing Director Sirko Scheffler was thrilled with the award. “De-Mail will have a profound impact on confidential, verifiable communication in the future. The FP Award is wonderful recognition for our work and confirmation that we should continue driving De-Mail forward through user-friendly innovation”, Scheffler said. The competition is open to companies, institutions, the self-employed and individuals from German-speaking areas. Having considered all the entries, the jury drew up a shortlist of four candidates who presented their concepts at CeBIT. Following a public presentation of the concepts, the jury chose the winner of the De-Mail Award for Innovation. The audience also chose its winner. After the presentations, CeBIT visitors were given an opportunity to vote for their own favourite. In a close-run vote, the Audience Award was eventually won by DeMaB De-Mail Beratungs GmbH for its service-billing concept for private health insurance companies. In addition to the two winners, the shortlist also included Petter.Letter GmbH for its De-Mail-based digital wound documentation concept, and X3.Net’s concept for integrating De-Mail in health-sector treatment processes.
