Lehrte, March 28, 2013 – HELMA Eigenheimbau AG, the specialist for individual solid construction houses and sustainable energy concepts, has won the bidding for two particularly attractive residential construction projects in the city centre of Hanover. These projects will contribute to the Group's targeted business expansion with total revenue potential of around EUR14 million, and the transactions are set to be realised through Group subsidiary HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH. The 'Am Hohen Ufer' project is located in Hanover's historic old town on the banks of the River Leine, and comprises two newbuild constructions. The centrally located Berta Clinic is to be completely modernised and converted into the 'Berta-Residenz', by contrast.
In the case of the centrally located Berta Clinic, at Bertastrasse 10 in Hanover, HELMA Wohnungsbau GmbH is to completely modernise this three and a half story building that dates back to the early years of the last century. Its current utilisation as a clinical practice is to continue after the development and conversion of the approximately 585 m² of related ground and first floor space. Between approximately four and six apartments are planned for the second and third floors. Expansion of the top floor will enable the third floor apartments to become maisonette apartments. The ground planning sets store by utilising the existing building structure as best as possible while at the same time creating generous room divisions. Construction is set to start in spring 2013, and should be completed by the end of this year. A revenue volume of around EUR6 million is anticipated for the 'Berta-Residenz'.
