Goldpac Announces 2016 Q3 Smart Card Shipments – Smart Card Shipment Records a YoY Growth, the Strength of ‘Cloud’ Arises
For Immediate Release / Goldpac Announces 2016 Q3 Smart Card Shipments * * * * * * (26 October 2016, Hong Kong) The world’s fourth largest, and China’s top ranked payment solutions provider, Goldpac Group Limited (“Goldpac” or the “Company“, together with its subsidiaries the “Group“, HKSE stock code: 03315) today announced its smart card shipment for the third quarter of 2016. As China’s banks reinforced the promotion of credit cards, the market demand for payment card in China had a significant increase, helping the Group’s smart card shipment in Q3 rebound to 42 million (2015: 41 million), representing a 2.6% growth year-on-year, while the shipment fluctuation during the first three quarters has been narrowed-down significantly. In addition, in October 2016, the company officially launched the brand new GCaaS cloud platform which based on O2O model, and the first phase of the online operation is officially activated, accepting online orders and started delivery. Mr. Hou Ping, Chief Executive Officer of Goldpac, stated, “We are excited by the growth of smart card shipment during the third quarter.
