Corporate News Curcas Oil N.V. expands business activities in Indonesia The Indonesian subsidiary 'PT Pengembangan Jarak Indonesien' has agreed to a co-operation with 'Koperasi Pijar Terang Muko-Muko'. As a result of this co-operation agreement, 'PT Pengembangan Jarak Indonesien' has secured the supply of Jatropha Crude Oil from the Jatropha plantation of 'Koperasi Pijar Terang Muko-Muko' in Sumatra. The co-operation partner's plantation is comprised of 300 hectares planted completely with Jatropha. Within the framework of the co-operation, 'PT Pengembangan Jarak Indonesien' is committed to upgrade the filtration of the Jatropha Oil to meet international quality standards. To achieve this, a technician of the Thai subsidiary will be placed in charge with improving the existing filtration plant, used in the production in Sumatra and will also install an additional filter unit, which will be imported from Germany. Both co-operation partners also agree to expand the areas under cultivation together to 1000 hectares in Sumatra with the goal of increasing the initial monthly delivery volumes from the current 22 metrictons Jatropha Crude Oil level step-by-step.
