Co-operation between Union Medical Healthcare and Tencent Doctorwork Jointly develop IT System
[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] (21 August 2018, Hong Kong) Union Medical Healthcare Limited (“UMH” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”, SEHK stock code: 2138), a leading integrated medical group in Hong Kong, is pleased to announce that the Group has entered into an agreement with Tencent Doctorwork, to jointly establish primary care clinics in Hong Kong and co-invest and develop IT system to connect medical services across the PRC and Hong Kong such as onshore consultation delivered by offshore registered practitioners. Tencent Doctorwork and UMH shall hold as to 55% and 45% of the jointly invested company respectively and it is expected to operate 20 clinics. The current initial capital investment is expected to be no less than HK$10 million, with 2 clinics to be in operation by the end of 2018.
