Hamburg, 7 August 2017 – The SDAX-listed Hamburg-based solar and wind park operator Capital Stage signed an agreement for the acquisition of three additional wind turbine generators (WTG) in Denmark. The total generation capacity of the Vestas V 112 turbines is 9.9 megawatts (MW). The WTG have been connected to the grid since 2014 and benefit from a government-guaranteed premium for a fixed number of full-load hours. The total investment volume for the wind parks, including project-related debt financing, will amount to approximately EUR 12.0 million. The WTG are part of the existing wind park Norhede I, not far from Ringkøbing on the North Sea coast of Denmark. The wind park benefits from a government-guaranteed premium in Denmark, which is granted for the first 22,000 full-load hours. Capital Stage assumes that the wind park will generate revenue contributions of some EUR 1.4 million per year. Beneficial transfer of ownership is to take place with retroactive effect from 1 April 2017. “In Denmark we find an outstanding framework in terms of meteorological, economic and political conditions for investments. The wind turbine generators in Denmark, which we acquired recently, are connected to the grid since 2014 and the achieved power generation is above the expectations ever since”, comments Holger Götze, COO of Capital Stage AG the purchase. “With the two latest acquisitions in Germany and Denmark we were able to expand our windpark portfolio again by nearly 30 MW.”, adds Götze. With the most recent acquisition, Capital Stage has expanded its portfolio in Denmark to some 25 megawatts. In total, the capacity of the Capital Stage Group’s wind park portfolio has now exceeded 540 megawatts.
