Talentum Oyj / News Release of a Adhoc News, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TALENTUM OYJ RELEASE 29 April 2008 at 12.50 TALENTUM SELLS ITS PREMEDIA FOR PACKAGING PRINTING Talentum has today agreed to sell the entire share capital of Sata-Flexo Ltd, which is part of its Premedia business area, to Packaging Premedia Oy. The deal also includes Sata-Flexo's subsidiary Marvaco Oy Ltd. Packaging Premedia Oy is a new company set up by a fund managed by the private equity investor Sentica Partners (40%) and the executive management of Sata-Flexo and Marvaco under Managing Director Kai Lankinen (60%). The transaction has no significant impact on Talentum's financial performance or status. The selling price will not be made public. Net sales by the Sata-Flexo Group came to some EUR 4.3 million in 2007, and the Group companies employed a total of 40 people. Talentum's strategy is to focus on publishing targeted at professionals. Giving up the plate manufacture for packaging printing in Premedia is a step that is consistent with the corporate strategy. Talentum is pleased to have been able to conclude this transaction with the executive management of Sata-Flexo and Marvaco, says Talentum's General Counsel Lasse Rosengren. We serve brands, advertising agencies and packaging printing houses. We will focus on creating a comprehensive framework for success in packaging design and implementation and monitor quality and the efficiency of the production chain from start to finish. As an active private equity investor, Sentica Partners will open up new opportunities for us and provide resources for developing our service concept, outlines Managing Director Kai Lankinen from Packaging Premedia Oy. Sata-Flexo and Marvaco have the best expertise in the sector and Finland's biggest capacity. This corporate transaction will allow rapid and extensive joint development of operations by both companies. The sector certainly offers plenty of prospects for development, says Sentica Partners Investment Director Jouko Pelkonen, who is Chairman of the Board at Packaging Premedia.
