Henrik Poulsen to be new CEO of DONG Energy

DONG Energy's Board of Directors has decided to appoint Henrik Poulsen as the
new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DONG Energy. Henrik Poulsen joins from TDC
A/S, where he is currently CEO. He will take up his new role no later than 1
November 2012. 

Fritz Schur, Chairman of the Board of Directors, comments:
'The Board of Directors is delighted that Henrik Poulsen has accepted the role.
DONG Energy is a strong and well-run company that is enjoying significant
growth in offshore wind and oil and gas production, in particular. The Board of
Directors believes that Henrik Poulsen is exactly the right person to carry on
the strategy and ensure the continued development of DONG Energy's activities.' 

'Besides being one of the leading energy groups in Northern Europe, DONG Energy
is also Denmark's largest energy company, with around one million residential
and business customers. The Board of Directors therefore places emphasis on
Henrik Poulsen continuing DONG Energy's great efforts to create value for its

Henrik Poulsen says:

Carsten Krogsgaard Thomsen, CFO, was appointed as Acting CEO of DONG Energy on
12 March 2012 and will continue in that role until Henrik Poulsen takes up his
post.
